Hello, my dA friends,

I must have set a new record. It's been over a year since my last journal post. Well, I didn't have anything worth sharing ;)...or I was too lazy... or too busy ... anything goes :)

But now I'm excited because tomorrow the Tour de France "stops" in Albi, the French town where I'm living since January. And it's not an ordinary stage... it will be a TimeTrial...this meaning that the cyclists will leave one by one and will return to finish the circuit also in Albi.

Las year we went to Carcassonne to see the arrival of the 14th of July stage and it was great. But this year must be even more special. I hope we'll manage to take good pictures and I will show them here.

Now I'm off to the show Le Tour en Fete - it's a concert and also there are some '80s and '90s cyclists invited. (Richard Virenque, Laurent Jalabert, Bernard Hinault and others). If you have TV5 Europe, the concert will be broadcast tomorrow night. Tonight it will be broadcast live on France2.

Also, if you're home this weekend, don't forget to watch the stage tomorrow. I'll be the one with glasses on the side of the road.

I'm in Albi, France

This new tag thing everybody's doing

Journal Entry: Thu Apr 13, 2006, 3:24 AM
Well, this is the first time I got tagged and twice even (by and ... so... let's play this game:

The player of this "game" starts with the topic "6 weird habits/things about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a journal about their 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" in their devpage comments and tell them to read yours....

1. I like bats... they are really nice animals, very useful an so misunderstood. I get angry every time I hear about bats being killed because of the stupid superstitions...

2. when I was in the final year at the Uni (I went to Law School) , we had a Forensic Medicine course and I saw two autopsies being performed at the local morgue (well, that was creepy... at that time I thought it was interesting, but now I wouldn't go there again)

3. I work from home and I like it very much. Everybody said I wouldn't, but they were wrong :D

4. I don't like the egg whites...they made me sick. I only eat a whole egg in an omelette...

5. "..." is the most important punctuation mark for me. :) I over use it every time I write something... like this journal or on yahoo messenger.

6. writing things about me it's really hard. I've been writing this journal for more than an hour now... it's time to get to work...

Now I should tag six people, but I only tag . Anybody else who wants to do it, consider yourself tagged by me...

My news

Journal Entry: Thu Mar 30, 2006, 9:39 AM
Hello my dA friends,

It's been a while since I wrote something here and I thought you might want to know what I have been doing lately. If not, stop right here... the following lines are of no interest to you. :)

The fact that spring finally came helps my mood a lot, because I was so tired of winter, cold and absence of sunshine.

I started a few months ago with a dA community for people that live in my town and we've met several times and all I can say is that everybody is really nice. (and I'm not saying that just because some of them maybe will read this journal ;) )
We even appeared in a local paper.

If you want to check it out, it's here:

In about a month I will be going to France to stay for a while (about three months) with my boyfriend who's studying there. I hope April will pass quickly...

There are a few issues I want to whine about, but I will spare you... for now ....

Oh...and... I will post some new stuff soon...

Thanks for the subscription, Tomi!
It was such a nice surprise...

HAPPY SPRING, EVERYBODY!

Sleeping is bad for you...

Journal Entry: Thu Dec 29, 2005, 10:31 AM
I live in a quiet neighbourhood... I don't remember anything exciting happening around here... But last night was different... And I was sound asleep and didn't see or here anything.

Around 3 am this morning, the Police and Special forces came with cars and surounded my building. They were looking for a man who was wanted by the Police and that apparently was in a rented apartemnt in my building. I saw the whole thing this evening on the News... I'm sorry I missed seeing it live though... At least I've seen the interior of my building on national television...;)

Conclusion: My life is boring and I get excited by things like that now... :D
